GDS landing refresh and what’s next
A clearer home for docs, design, and adoption stories - with News and Insights as first-class hubs.
We rebuilt the GDS docs home so it works like a design-system site, not only a component index. The goal: one place to discover the system, follow updates, and find adoption stories for teams rolling GDS into products.
What shipped
- Brand-first home - clearer promise, foundations strip, and paths for engineers, designers, and product teams
- Dedicated hubs - News and Insights as top-level destinations (not buried in the components sidebar)
- Figma in the open - links to GDS SPECS so design and code stay connected
- Live system preview - real
Gds*components on the home page - Editorial model - new posts are registry-driven, so adding stories stays lightweight
Why it matters
Product teams adopting GDS need more than API docs. They need release notes, craft context from design, and longer pieces on why and how to migrate - especially in multi-app families like EHQ (Admin UI, Blue Haven, Bazaar).
This refresh makes those surfaces first-class.
What’s next
- More News posts as components and tokens ship
- More Insights on Figma ↔ code workflows and adoption plans
If you have a release note or story that should land here, ping the GDS team.
